TV reception in Musselburgh
Musselburgh's housing runs from the older stone cottages around Fisherrow harbour and Inveresk to the newer estates at Wallyford and Pinkie. Older properties often still have aerials that were fitted decades ago and struggle with today's Freeview frequencies; newer estates frequently use loft aerials that need a strong, clean signal to work.
Being close to the Forth, aerials and brackets here are exposed to salty wind off the sea, which speeds up corrosion. A rusted clamp or a split cable is one of the most common faults we find in the town.
