Privacy and cookie policy

Last updated: 26 October 2026

This policy explains what personal information Aerial & Satellite Services Edinburgh collects, why, how long we keep it, who we share it with, and the rights you have. We keep it short and only collect what we need to quote for and carry out your job.

Who we are

Aerial & Satellite Services Edinburgh is the data controller for the information described here. You can contact us about anything in this policy:

What we collect

When you ask for a quote or call-back

Through the forms on this site we collect your name, phone number, and, if you choose to give them, your postcode and a description of the problem. We also record which page you sent the form from.

When you call, text or email us

Your phone number or email address, and anything you tell us about the job, such as your address, the fault and photos you send.

When we carry out work

Your name, address, contact details, the work done, the price, and payment records, so we can do the job, invoice you and honour our 12-month guarantee.

When you browse this site

If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics collects information about how you use the site: pages visited, roughly where you are (town or region, not your address), the device and browser you use, and whether you tapped a phone number or sent a form. We do not use it to identify you personally.

Our website host keeps short-lived technical logs (such as IP address and pages requested) to run the site securely.

Who we share it with

We only share information with services that help us run the business, and only what they need:

  • Web3Forms: delivers the details you enter in our forms to our email inbox.
  • Our email provider: stores emails we send and receive.
  • Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd / Google LLC): website statistics, only if you accept analytics cookies.
  • Google Fonts: supplies the typefaces the site uses; your browser connects to Google to load them, which shares your IP address with Google.
  • Vercel: hosts this website.
  • Our accountant and HMRC: invoices and payment records, where required by law.

Some of these providers are based in, or store data in, the United States. Where information leaves the UK, it is protected by the UK's adequacy arrangements (such as the UK–US data bridge) or by standard contractual safeguards approved under UK law.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that don't go ahead: up to 12 months, then deleted.
  • Customer and job records: 6 years after the job, as required for tax and accounting, and to support guarantee claims.
  • Google Analytics data: 14 months, then deleted automatically by Google.
